FAQ: How does MyDLP Agent communicate with MyDLP Server? Which ports do they use?

Posted by:

MyDLP uses a secure protocol, which runs over HTTPS, to communicate / validate agents. So, only TCP port 443 is used. MyDLP Agent tries to connect TCP port 443 of MyDLP Server periodically. This period also can be configured from MyDLP UI -> Settings -> Endpoint -> Sync Interval .

MyDLP inherits security of HTTPS and adds more with its custom encryption / validation mechanism. Independent unique keys are generated for every single agent. Messages going over HTTPS protocol will be encrypted using Blowfish algorithm with unique keys for each agent. Blowfish encryption, hash validation and peer validation will be done for both ends.
